Its been decades since i last wrote my last food post since i've entered poly. Its been a hectic 2 years of intense studying, projects and also CCAs commitment. And if you have any food recommendation/suggestions for me do let me know ;) (also take feedbacks too for continuous improvements!)
I will try to post as often as i can, as you know eating good food also needs $KaChing$ right? Haha! ^^
So coming back to my first food article of 2016, it will be related to Chinese New Year! It is a yearly tradition for Chinese families to get together and have a reunion dinner be it at home or in restaurants.
Common reunion dinner dishes includes steamboat, yusheng, abalone, Buddha Jumps Over the wall. These dishes have different significance which elders belief.
Well, my family isn't those traditional kind so we decided to go for an Indonesian-Thai restaurant called Bumbu Restaurant located at Kandahar street near Arab street:) We booked 2 days in advance as we do expect a big turn out for families to have their reunion dinner here.
This is the outside view of the restaurant
The internal decoration is pretty unique with antiques paintings which brings you back to the olden days of Singapore.
Special mention to the Coffee Flavoured Chicken! (Seen in the middle of the table) Rich coffee aroma and it taste really good! We had ordered Sambal kangkong, Fried Cereal Prawns, Beef was too salty not really good
Really good service
I rate it 3.5/5
