Marche Mövenprick @ Vivocity

This is one of my favourite family restaurant! Marche provides fresh ingredients and cooks your orders right infront of your very eyes and offers the feeling as if you were eating in a market. Customers stroll through the market and can’t help but not only be attracted to the presentations. Marche @ Vivocity gave me a swedish "feel" where the furnitures they use makes you feel that you are in a foreign land.

Before we enter, we were given a card per person. How does this card works? When you walk around the "Market" and come across your favourite food, you will order your food from the chef and pass your cardto them. They will key in the orders you have and return you the card. You can order from many different stores from the Market with your card. And when you are done with our meal, just proceed to the counter with card and they will charge you accordingly to what you have ordered. And if you lost your card, you have to pay S$100.

The Market consist of Spanish food, Desserts, Salad Bar, Pizza, BBQ, Seafood, Beer and fruitjuice bar, Soups, Rösti, Pasta and Crepe.

I went to order my favourite Rösti, (a swiss dish consisting mainly of potatos)
1 plain and the other with Smoked Salmon with Sour Cream.

My mom ordered this and also my favourite pepperoni pizza :D

Not forgetting their popular Cream Of Wild Mushroom Soup.

It was definitely a good meal with the company of your family members :)

Avg $50per pax

Kway Chap

This is one of my favourite kwaychap stall in the eastern side of Singapore! Located at the Coffeeshop right opposite Temasek Polytechnic, and its also popular among the student there.

So if you're one of Temasek Poly students reading this article, i've got good news that if you are ever tired of peak lunch crowd in school or the food there itself, do make your way down to this coffeeshop to have a taste of this popular chinese cuisine. Eventhough the queue is always long, its worth queueing for!

So what is kwaychap? Its actually a pork dish that includes different parts of the pig organs and meat, such as the pig skin, pig meat, pig small/large intestine, pig stomach, taupok, eggs and tofu all being boiled into their special dark sauce.

It may sound or even looks gross even before you try it. However, if your a pork lover eater, do give it a try and you have no regrets. Anyway what is kwaychap without the "kway"? The "kway" they sold here are cooked to perfection.

And i wouldnt recommend you to take out, but to have this in the coffeeshop.

So this is what i've ordered: pork intestines , skins and stomach!
Notice i didnt ordered the "kway" cause it wont be "full" for me ^^

Dipping these meat into their special chilli makes the whole dish taste even better!

Not only do they sell kwaychap, they also sell pig organ soup which is always sold out :O

This is not the only kwaychap stall in this vicinity, however theres another kwaychap stall right opposite of it! And guess what? The other kwaychap stall is run by the owner's son! This shows how good their food is!

Avg per pax $5.50

Mubarak Restaurant @ Little India

On a Saturday morning, we went to had brunch at my favourite Indian Muslim restaurant, situated right opposite the Indian Heritage Centre by the cross junction. It is very easy to spot the restaurant due to its blue painting.

Roti Prata is the Asian version of flat crispy yet soft pancakes and serves best with curry or just dip in sugar.

One of their popular dishes in this restaurant are the Mutton or Quail Briyani, yes heard it right, Quail!

Well i didn't have these 2 popular dish because i want to satisfy my cravings, which is my favourite egg prata, paper prata and not forgetting TehTarik* (pull tea)!
What is TehTarik? Its actually a hot milk tea beverage.

Not long after, our food have arrived.

Green: Kosong - Plain Prata
Blue: Egg - Prata with Egg
Orange - Curry
Red - TehTarik

Blue: This is the paper prata drizzled with sweetener crispy on the outside, chew on the inside

While this i had 3years ago was drizzled in butter :P really unhealthy..

What are those black markings on the Prata? Those are the "burnt" outer layer of the dough. They are place ontop of the flat pan and cook till it turns golden brown.

The only issue with that place is their seats.., not large group friendly because they only have tables at the corridor. But that is part of the eating experience eating at little India. Casual and relax.
