Australia Dairy Company @ Jordan , Hong kong

Australia Dairy Company was highly recommended to me by one of my good friend, and i make sure that it tops in my intinery list.

So during the morning, before we head out to Kennedy Town to meet up with my relatives, we decided to stop by Jordan to have a taste of this highly recommended Cafe. As the name Australia Dairy Company, it doesnt looks like a company neither do they have Australian workers working in there, its run by HongKees and it looks like a normal hong kong cafe to me.

It was around 1030am when we reached there and you can already see a queue forming just as you exit Jordan MTR station. To my surprise most of the customers that were queueing are Singaporeans. And not long after we were brought to our tables. We shared a small table with 2 random strangers and it was really awkward, but this is common and its their culture in Hong Kong.

This is their menu and i couldnt understand half of it as my chinese is terrible. So i decided to order a scrambled eggs, toast bread, ham and eggs and also macaroni.

Upon receiving our food i realised that what we have ordered earlier all comes in a set.

Dont let this pictures judge it's taste but this was the most fufilling and mouthwatering breakfast i've ever had.
Their scrambled eggs and milk tea really lives up to expectation and i'll definitely recommend it to you guys!

Hot tea for a cold day! A must try if your here in Hong Kong:)

Kwan Kee Claypot Rice @ Sheung Wan, Hong Kong

With decades of experience, Kwan Kee Claypot Rice is famous for their claypot rice and it is located at Sheung Wan. This claypot store is highly recommended by my aunt because she frequent visit to Hong Kong for business.

As a regular customer, my aunt have to make a table reservation for the 4 of us one day in advance due to the long waiting time for a table. You can choose to seat inside or outside their restaurant. We decide to seat inside although it is cramp because outside was way too cold..

The boss cooking their signature dish

Even watching him cook can be mouth watering!

This is their menu

This are the different dishes my aunt had ordered : stirfried bittergourd with pepper beef

Sweet and sour pork, sorry for the half finished food
Frogleg with ginger and green onion
Pork and chicken claypot rice
Once you received your claypot, you got to quickly stir it and mix it with their special soya sauce, the mixing allows the sauce to be evenly mixed and also to prevent burning of the rice in contact with the hot claypot. There is a layer of crispy and slightly burnt rice at the bottom which doesn’t stick to the pot.

Last but not least their popular Pork Bone Hot Pot
From the over spewing looks, you can see lots of ingredients in there like vegetables, chicken feets, corns, tofu, white radish and huge pork bones to chew on.

This is the aftermath down with a refreshing glass of coke!
So if you ever want to pop by in this restaurant, do remember to book a reservation;)

Yan Wo Soy Bean Shop @ Causeway Bay

During my second day in Hong Kong, i decided to do some self exploration without my family due to the light drizzle and cold temperature. So i decided to start travelling down from Mongkok where my hotel is. I took my own sweet time to walk and brave through the rain taking pictures from my iPhone while everyone is out with their umbrellas.

I've got too much time to spare so i decided to hop into the MTR (train) and just travel aimlessly. Hence, i arrived at Central (Hongkong island) which is the last station on the red line. There i got off and wander about at my own pace and also take "night" pictures.
I dont know if it is fate or luck? After taking this photo above, of all people in HK i saw my singaporean aunt walking towards me, she couldn't recognise me at first until i call out to her and we were shocked and dumbfounded hahah! And soon, she brought me to Causeway Bay to try some very outstanding tofu (beancurd). This is their menu.

Yan Wo Soy Bean Shop @ Causeway Bay , not really hard to locate as it is down along the street beside the famous Forever 21 store. Or you can just ask anyone there because its very well-known.
Very easy to spot, as they fried their signature dish right infront of their stall.
Starting with their signature dish, its the fried tofu with fish meat stuffing. Really hot, fresh and the texture was cook to perfection, the tofu really just burst into your mouth. To even make it more mouthwatering, drizzle their special chilli and soy sauce . Really good for a cold weather!
3 is never enough and i have to order more! Next dish was their beancurd which is worth to mention, its very smooth and it just melt on your tongue.
It comes with no sugar content so you mught have to sweeten it up yourself with the orange coloured sugar (i think is coconut sugar)
They do sell other dishes like porridge, vegetarian beehoon, also soyabean drink and desserts.

One thing to add is, if you ever dine into this kind of small eateries in HK, be prepared to squeeze into this small stalls, and also its very common to share tables with a stranger.
