I've not heard of 4 Fingers crispy chicken before, and the first thing that comes to my mind is the rough texture and oily factor you see in KFC chickens. But whatever the reason, i tag my bestfriend along onto this food quest.
This 4 fingers crispy chicken is located at the entrance of Plaza Singapura just opposite Starhub. We went there before the lunch crowd approaches as I heard that 4 Fingers in Ion Orchard is really crowded and they obviously have the same problem here in Plaza Sing. They do have promotion for student meal which starts at 2pm. However for our first try, we tried the 6pcs cripsy chicken in Garlic sauce. You can choose your crispy chicken flavoured in hot sauce/ garlic / mixture of both and also your fries wether to be seaweed / Kimchi.
Their service is efficient, as they provide a buzzer for every customer to be call out to collect their orders. However during peak periods, their service will be short handed especially the clearing of the leftover by the customers.
Their interior design and the ambience of the store is average, the disappointing thing is that there are too little seats to occupy those hungry diners.
Upon collecting my orders, and peeking into their kitchen, i spotted them using brush and painting your preferred sauce onto your chicken. While feasting, the chicken tasted really crispy, not only the skin, you can also notice hot steam waver into the air. The crispy skin goes well with the garlic sauce and thats what makes it so unique. For me, i would leave behind the fatty skin of KFC chicken but when it comes to 4 fingers crispy chicken ; i simply couldn't get enough.
Some tips for you: their kimchi fries are lack of taste, seaweed fries are better. Try their garlic sauce crispy chicken this is what makes their chicken unique from the rest. If you are a small eater, i recommend you to split half share with your partner, that will be much more cheaper and you wouldn't want to waste food. Lastly take-away will not taste as good as before.
Some how or another, 4 Fingers chicken have halted me from visiting KFC. however KFC have their own unique recipe and they have many choices to choose from unlike from 4 Fingers. For now 4 Fingers is in my number 1 list for fried chicken, hopefully they will expand more outlet throughout the island.
Average Spent $9 per person.
